Dental emergencies are stressful—for kids and parents alike. Whether it’s a knocked-out tooth, sudden pain, or a mouth injury from a tumble at the playground, The Smile Society Dental Studio is here to help. We offer gentle treatment to get your child out of pain and back to smiling.

A dental emergency is any urgent issue involving the teeth, gums, or mouth that causes pain, bleeding, swelling, or trauma—and requires prompt attention to prevent further complications. Common dental emergencies in children include knocked-out or broken teeth, severe toothaches, dental infections, and injuries to the lips or gums.If your child is in pain or something just doesn’t feel right, it’s always better to call and have our team evaluate the situation. At The Smile Society, we’re here to guide you through the next steps and provide the compassionate, expert care your child needs.

Timely dental care can prevent small issues from becoming big ones. Seeking emergency treatment right away reduces the risk of permanent damage, helps avoid infection, and most importantly—gets your child out of pain fast. Our approach combines expert pediatric care with genuine warmth, so you and your child feel supported, not rushed or judged.
The sooner we can assess the situation, the better. Even if you’re unsure it’s an emergency, we’ll help you determine the best course of action.
During our phone call, we'll help you determine when your child needs to receive care, and we'll schedule you for a prompt appointment if necessary. When you arrive, we'll assess their emergency and detail our treatment recommendations.
We'll carry out treatment, focusing on relieving pain and maintaining your child's oral health. We'll also provide aftercare advice, if needed, to keep your child comfortable as they heal.
Common emergencies include knocked-out or broken teeth, severe toothaches, oral swelling, bleeding that won’t stop, and injuries to the lips or mouth.
If the emergency involves the teeth or mouth and your child is stable, call us first. If your child has head trauma, difficulty breathing, or uncontrolled bleeding, go to the ER.
Try to find the tooth, hold it by the crown (not the root), and keep it moist in milk or saliva. Call us immediately—we may be able to save it if treated quickly.
